Correspondence Uncover the late financier and former Trump strategist Relationship

Steve Bannon
Bannon served as Trump's top strategists prior to resigning from the White House in August 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing assistant".

These messages were published on this week together with more than 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein talks about arranging a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his death and reportedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this day with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he added: "They are attempting to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely however the people over here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was finally toppled in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
